II. Workshop Purpose and Length by Type -
We offer three different types of workshops
Orientation - This workshop is 1 ½ hours in duration and covers the basic information on the topic. It is predominately a lecture based workshop with a few self-assessments and exercises designed to promote interest and encourage participants to seek out more information through reading, computer research or other workshops. Participants will definitely understand the importance of this topic to their health and have an opportunity to ask questions of clarification about how they may be impacted by various related health issues or concerns. This type of workshop works well when there is limited time, limited financial resources or limited understanding about the degree of interest employees may have on a given topic.
Intermediate - This workshop is 2 1/2 hours in duration and includes most of the necessary information on the topic in order to provide a clear understanding regarding the causes and effects of the health condition as well as the preferred scientifically proven natural prevention and treatment options. This is a less interactive and participative session than the Advanced workshop which can result in a somewhat lower level of commitment and follow through by participants. This type of session is ideal for those who are already motivated by virtue of their professional training needs (i.e., wellness coaches) or their current health status (i.e., already diagnosed with a condition related to the topic).
Advanced - This workshop is 3 1/2 hours in duration and covers all pertinent information on the topic. It is a highly interactive session with several mini-lecturettes used to provide a solid understanding of the topic and several work sessions in pairs or small groups. Participants are able to work through common myths on each topic, establish clear cause and effect relationships, research valid health improvement alternatives and develop a starting plan for personal improvement. Participants should be able to track their own progress towards improvement but often can do this better when they receive some support or incentive from the employer.
III. Workshop Cost by Type - Each type of workshop requires a different type of presentation by health professionals with varying degrees of specialization and experience. Accordingly, the following cost schedule has been established for the 15 workshops in each of the three levels previously defined.

IV. Attendance Levels - All courses in the intermediate or advanced levels are based on a maximum allowed attendance of 25 participants due to the need for adequate interaction with the instructor and small groups or pairs activities. The orientation level workshops can have more than 25 participants because they are designed to include more lecture and allow participants to decide if this is a topic they would like to pursue further.
V. Materials and Handouts - All prices include reading material and assessment handout materials but do not include room, travel expenses, refreshments or audio-visual equipment, which is the responsibility of the employer.
